The Phase II exploration program on the DS Copper/Gold property is well underway.
Surface geological mapping of the previously established grid area has been completed. A detailed 3-D I.P. geophysical survey has also been completed over the DS Pit Zone and over two previously identified geophysical anomalies.
The detailed I.P. survey conducted to the north, south and over the DS Pit Zone has established the presence of a coincident high resistivity and high chargeability anomaly in excess of 1km in length and extending to a minimum depth of 250 meters, which is the detection limit of the IP survey. The recently discovered DS Pit Zone is located at the top of this anomaly. To-date, the DS Pit Zone has only been tested by diamond drilling of a series of shallow holes to define the strike and dip of the 2 mineralized quartz breccias zones encountered in DDH-DS-10-05. Drilling has commenced to test this zone to a depth of 250 meters or more with an initial two drill holes. These initial drill holes may be followed by a grid based drill program to depth along the known length of the anomaly. Additionally, the company plans to expand the current grid to facilitate further geophysical and drill testing to fully define the strike length of the anomaly. The current grid of 120 hectares covers approximately 20% of the area of the property.
Samples from mineralized intersections from the recently completed shallow drill holes into the DS Pit Zone have been forwarded to Acme Analytical Laboratories in Vancouver BC for assay analysis.
