High Grade Copper & Gold Intersected at DS Project

High Grade Copper & Gold Intersected at DS Project

The Company is pleased to report that complete assay results, from its initial core drilling program at the DS Property, on Vancouver Island, have now been received.

The most significant results of the five hole program are in drill hole DDH-DS-10-05, which was drilled from the DS-1 Pit at -45 degrees on an Azimuth of 015 degrees.  DS10-05 intersected 41.5 metres with multiple stages of brecciation and sulphide deposition consisting of pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrite, bornite and native dendritic copper.

DS-10-01 The hole did not reach target depth and was abandoned.

True widths of mineralized zones are not yet known.

Drills holes DS-10-02 to 04 were drilled proximal to the DS-1 Pit to interpret geological structure and orientation of mineralized zones.

The DS property is located on Vancouver Island, in a region that can be worked year round. The area that has been logged in recent years, leaving left an extensive network of high quality access roads suitable for heavy haulage. The discovery is close to tidewater and deep water ports.

Exploration at the DS Property is expected to recommence forthwith. The next planned stage will include additional diamond drilling of geophysical targets, additional detailed geophysical surveys within the established grid area and expansion of the existing grid to facilitate further geophysical surveys on extensions from the newly discovered mineralized zone. Also, two additional surface mineralized zones have been located and will be targeted for geophysical surveys with follow-up diamond drilling if warranted.

Company President Ralf Hillebrand states: “The company’s strategy of searching for VMS deposits in a politically secure region with good year round transportation access and infrastructure has paid off.  Our discovery of high grade copper and gold in a period of high metal prices sets the stage for New  Shoshoni to expand its exploration program  significantly.”

Core samples were processed by Acme Laboratories, an ISO accredited facility located in Vancouver BC, for assay analysis by atomic absorption and metallic screen using a sample size of 500 grams.
